Secondary Dwellings (aka Granny Flats)

Particularly in the inner suburbs, secondary dwellings are often associated with garages to rear lane access properties. Local councils have significant variations on the envelope requirements, particularly in regard to heights and set backs. However the maximum floor area is set by State Legislation and is limited to 60m2.
